CD boot

I recently bought a Shuttle HOT-591P mainboard. It supports CDboot. Do you know if you have to use an IBM CD-ROM, or will any kind of CD-ROM work? Can I use my old ('96) GoldStar 4X CD-ROM?
What is AIX 4.1. Is it the BIOS model?
Do you know what files are needed on a CD to use it to boot. Is it just the same as an ordinary bootdisk?
