I need to hook up an EMC frame to my system and migrate the data on a
couple of strings of disks to it, and then move the old disks and
controllers to another machine. I was planning on plugging the EMC scsi
bus into my system, setting up the disks and use LSM mirrors to migrate
the data. Then it occurred to me that since the disk numbers are
assigned by the position of the SCSI bus at boot time, when I unplug the
old buses my disk devices will be renumbered.
Is there a standard way to deal with this problem??
