Andataco-Storage Works-Box on DEC-Unix 4.0B

Dear Managers,

until now i didn't got any response of anyone about my problem with the disks
in a Andataco-Box.

Here is a short problem report:

4 Seagate ST118273W in a Andataco-Box (Typ: ESP-R5-35) are seen with:

>>>show dev
after booting in single/multi-user mode: disklabel -r rz16 no problem
disklabel -e rz16 no problem
mkfdmn /dev/rz16e anda_dmn no problem
mkfset anda_dmn anda hangs, the prompt doesn't came back. The diskdrive has
all LED's ON and never went off.

The distributor told me to upgrade the firmware from the disks from 5764 to
6244. I did it. But same error as before.

Andataco did not send me a message back, until now.
