mailto link causes netscape communicator 4.5 to crash

Netscape communicator 4.5 looks real good and doesn't require the old
X11R5 libraries, but has one serious drawback. The moment I click on any
'mailto' link, netscape crashes with a segment violation. Is there anyone
out there running communicator 4.5 on Digital Unix 4.0d who is able to
make use of 'mailto' links in html documents?
