pwd: Permission denied

Hi,

Recently we upgraded to DU 4.0 and I've got a strange
problem. Here it is:

% pwd
pwd: Permission denied
%

What did upgrading do so I lose access to optain a result
from pwd and how do I fix it?

Incidentally, I searched the archives and could not find an
answer to this question. I did find the answer to why my
account changed to wnn though, its worth searching the
archives first when you have a question.
