Dear Alpha OSF Managers,
I have the following problem with one of our customers:
Installation:
- 1 NT Server configured as PDC
- Alpha configured with Digital Unix 3.2D and Pathworks 5.0F (I know, that's
old,
but for some reason DU cannot be upgraded to 4.0D and thus PW cannot be
upgraded to ASDU4)
- a lot of clients
For some time they have the problem, that both DC's don't synchronize any
more.
Error logging on Pathworks says replikation cannot be done because the other
side is not authorised.
Of course the customer says he didn't change anything in the configuration.
As soon as one of the clients changes his password he still can logon, but
is not able anymore to logon
on unix level (lanman.ini states "hostpasswordsync=yes")
Can someone shed some light on how Pathworks and NT should me configured to
act as BDC so that replication works
and if unix passwords are changed when the netpassword is changed. Please
keep in mind that Pathworks is very old
Thanks for any information
