Hello,

Would you please give me any suggestion on that ?

I already configured my Solaris (X86, running 2.6) server as PPP server and I checked the dial in operation from WIndows NT (dial-up-networking) to server ppp.

My ppp connection from NT to SUN ppp server looks fine but problem is that when I disconnect the ppp connection, it still hangs up the device. And i can't dial again to the server. If I manually reset the modem then try the dial in again, it works.

For your information I attach my lines from log files (when physically from other side connection is closed)

14:37:11 008244 ipdptp0 RECEIVE PPP ASYNC 61 Octets NB (AP) IP_PROTO 45 00 00 38 5e cc 00 00 80 01 2c 62 96
64 c1 62 96 64 c1 6b .......
14:37:14 process_ipd_msg: interface ipdptp0 has disconnected
14:37:14 disconnect: disconnected connection from ipdptp0
14:37:14 008245 ipdptp0 PPP ASYNC DEVICE HANGUP

(I only attach here the last few lines at the time of disconnection from client side)

who command from the server still shows (even testppp already disconnects from client)
testppp terb/b Nov 4 13:45

and ifconfig -a command still shows (0n Server side)

ipdptp0: flags=28d1<UP,POINTTOPOINT, RUNNING,NOARP,MULTICAST,UNNUMBERED> mtu 1500
            inet 150.100.193.107 -- > 150.100.193.98 netmask fffff0000
            ether 0:0:0:0:0:0

So it looks my ppp still hangs up the device even though I close my PPP connection from the client (here WIndows NT). How can I resolve this problem ? Please give me some suggestions ?
Or please refer me where can I get the resources ?
Thanks a lot.
