There are several thousand users in the NIS database. Most <userid> are
based on employee badge number: "m" followed by 6 digits being the
predominant entry. User A is of the form "m191xxx", is entry 11337 in the
passwd file and has 2 minute response. User B is "m191xxx", is entry 7
and has 3 minute response. User C is "m191xxx", is entry 13 and has
almost instant response. Thus the hash order does not seem to be involved
(I would assume that all 3 users would hash similarly) nor does sequence in
the passwd file (entry 7 is slow, entry 13 is fast).

Additionally -- remember that user A gets quick response from yppasswd if
he is logged onto another HP-UX system accessing the NIS servers.
