Alpha 2100A ver 4.0B Alpha 4100A ver 4.0B (latest patches)
Hi All ,
We recently upgraded the above two machines from a single
5/250 to twins and a single 5/400 to twin 5/533 .
A HSZ70 was also installed in the 4100 and SWXCR disks
and controller added to the 2100 . The Digital engineer
did most of the work (lots of it) .
Ever since then , when we boot the macines , we are missing
most of the startup log . It seems to start half way through
(see below) . This is the same in messages , syslog.dated/kern.log
and binary.errlog . Has anybody seen this before or does
anyone have any clues .
On the 2100 :
I am missing everything from re0 to re20 . All the files start at the
re21 message . (see below) On the 4100 it starts at the first disk but
is missing everthing up to that .
