lost lat connection

Hi all,

I recently opened a lat connection to an old line printer we use for
billing. We are presently moving from VMS to UNIX and I need to be able
to print to this printer. Well after digging through man pages and
whatnot I thought I found a solution.

here is the printcap entry:

lpa1|lp6:\
        :br#9600:\
        :ct=LAT:\
        :fc#0177777:\
        :fs#03:\
        :if=/usr/lbin/pcfof +Cgeneric_text.pcf:\
        :lf=/usr/adm/printers/lpa1:\
        :lp=/dev/lat/631:\
        :mx#0:\
        :of=/usr/lbin/pcfof +Cgeneric_text.pcf:\
        :pl#66:\
        :pw#0:\
        :rw:\
        :sd=/usr/spool/printers/lpa1:\
        :xc#0177777:\
        :xf=/usr/lbin/xf:\
        :xs#044000:

and I started up the port with:

latcp -A -p 631 -H DS01 -R 4

DS01 is the terminal server and the printer is attached to port 4

Well this worked just swimmingly for a while!

If I send it a print job it just sits in the spool going no where. If I
try and delete the lat entry it says it doesn't exist, if I try and add
it it says it's in use!

Does anybody have any ideas!!

TIA
