Restoring dumps from 4.0B on 4.0D machines

Just a quick question about dump/restore.

Over the last couple of days I've been moving file systems around
by dumping and restoring. These moves have included moves from machines
running DU 4.0B and DU 3.2D to machines running DU 4.0D.

Unfortunately when I do a restore of a dump from 4.0B/3.2D on a machine
running DU 4.0D, the permissions/ownership are not restored.

Is anyone aware of any simple workarounds for this or will I need to
restore on a 4.0B machine and move the files across the network?
