Hi
We are having problems transferring plain text files between unix and
PCs both using Samba and using a standard ftp program set on
auto-detect.
For some reason it is doing a binary transfer in both cases and unix to
pc files come up without carriage returns on the ends of each line and
the reverse case they end up on our unix servers with ^M's at the end of
each line.
Any one have any ideas (apart from doing an explicit ascii transfer
which fixes the problem).
