Hello Folks,
I tried to compile ddd-3.0 (it's a graphical frontend to gdb) on a
DU 4.0d box. Compiling with gcc-2.8.1 results in an executable
that dumps core. Compiling with DEC's cc fails with following message:
==> Making all in ./ddd...
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/msfd19/gnolte/ftp/ddd-3.0/ddd'
Building ddd-3.0-alphaev56-dec-osf4.0d...
cxx -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DNDEBUG -g -c -I. -I. -I./.. -I/usr/local/X11/include -o show.o show.C
cxx: Fatal: Virtual memory limit or system swap space exhausted.
Try reducing program size or system load, or increase swap space
(see swapon(8)), adjust system config file entries maxdsiz and maxvas.
make[1]: *** [show.o] Error 1
Is there anyone who was successfull in building ddd-3.0?
Any help would be apreciated.
Gerhard
