They suggested protections on majordomo, looking at the aliases and
subscribing and posting the question on the majordomo-users list. None of
these worked but we did decide to upgrade to the latest version of
majordomo. I think that at least part of the problem was that with
original version of sendmail which was dumber it worked fine. But with the
newer smarter version of sendmail it didn't like it for some reason. We'll
see if that fixes things.

Original questions:
>I just switched to sendmail 8.8.7 from Digital to stop our servers from
being >used as spam relays. The reason I got it from Digital and am not
using 8.9.1a >is because currently I don't have time to figure out sendmail
and I needed an >answer right away. When you get 20-30 messages
threatening to blacklist you
>if you don't fix a problem immediately you go with the path of least
>resistance.
>Anyway, I am now getting the following error. These lists are moderated
and >each message must be approved before it is allowed to go out. The
lists that
>are not moderated appear to work as before.
>
>Also, we have noticed a significant time delay between when someone sends
a >message to the list and the moderator gets it and between the time to
>moderator approves it and it get to the actual recipient. Time is 10
minutes >for each so a message can take 20 - 30 minutes to get from sender
to >recipient.
