Dear ALL,
I want to make use of the dbx and/or decladebug debugger but have come
across license problems which the sys. admin people don't understand.
% ladebug
Welcome to the Ladebug Debugger Version 4.0-43
One of the following valid licenses is required when using DECladebug:
Product OSF-DEVTK
Product OSF-DEVTK-USER
Product OSF-DEVTK-G
Product OSF-DEV
Product OSF-DEV-USER
Product OSF-DEV-G
Product UNIX-DEVTK
Product UNIX-DEVTK-USER
Product UNIX-DEVTK-G
Product UNIX-DEV
Product UNIX-DEV-USER
Product UNIX-DEV-G
% dbx
enter object file name (default is `a.out'): adapter
Valid license for one of the following required.
Product OSF-DEVTK (Developer's Toolkit): No license found.
Product OSF-DEVTK-USER (Developer's Toolkit Concurrent Use): No license
found.
Product OSF-DEVTK-G (Developer's Toolkit Type G): No license found.
Product OSF-DEV (Developer's Extensions): No license found.
Product OSF-DEV-USER (Developer's Extensions Concurrent Use): User limit
exceeded.
Product OSF-DEV-G (Developer's Extensions Type G): No license found.
No valid license found in non-kernel debug mode; dbx exits.
I believe that the above is due to expired license keys.
Where would the license keys be typically installed ?
>From an entry in a newsgroup I read that the dbx compiler is only
available to use for the kernel and not for development.
The annoying thing is that I was using the decladebug debugger last week
and since then there have been a number of maintenance cycles but no one
seems to know where the license files are and if they existed in the
first place!
Your help would be most appreciated.
Thanks for your time/efforts.
Kind regards,
---
