Dear managers:
I have a really weird problem that happened 4 months ago, was fixed,
but now has popped up again. We have 3 DEC Alphas with one being the
NFS server using LSM. The shared disk has the .?? files and this has
worked for us for 4 years now.
When we started running our local X11 programs in our one clinical
account we would get "Segmentation fault", but not if we ran as another
user. I copied the .login, .profile, .cshrc, .Xdefaults to another
user and it worked fine for that user so I've ruled out the startup
files. This problem is happening on both the server and the clients.
I've checked permissions, etc. I don't know how I really fixed it 4
months ago except for copying a bunch of .???* in another location.
Any solutions??
Thanks!!
