I've just started experimenting on DEC 3000 600's but will also try our DEC 3000 300. My experience so far is that the scsi interface (turbo channel bus) and Yamaha isn't happy. The cdrecord software cannot recognize the device, even if the system does. Where can I get cdwrite? The cdrom's produced were readable on all 6 drives and operating systems I tried. I have not yet been able to get mkisofs | cdrecord pipe working. I have to create a file with mkisofs and then in a separate step cdrecord that file to the CD-R disk. -- J.James(Jim)Belonis II, U of Washington Physics Computer Cost Center Manager belonis_at_phys.washington.edu Internet University of Washington Physics Dept. http://www.phys.washington.edu/~belonis r.
