Console port

Hello-

I have been sifting through the list archives for about an hour and have
come up dry.

I would like to hook up a modem to the alternate console / printer port on
a DEC AXP 3000/600 running DU 3.2a.

Is this even possible? What device is that port? Is it /dev/tty01 ? What
should I use for pin connections on the modem end (DB25)?

I have an MMJ-DB25 adapter but I don't know what it connects....

Any help is greatly appreciated.
