OSF'ers,
                  I thought I had a summary that explained how to re-index NSR tapes. I have an old NSR backup tape which was written on a previous system. The new system does not have the online indexes for the tape.

How can I scan the tape to recreate the indexes?

The version of NSR we are using is 4.2
