Hi,
I have been experiencing real problems trying to upgrade our 3000/700
and 3000/800 alpha systems. Both times I have tried to do an upgrade to
DU 4.0a - prior to the 4.0b upgrade - and both times I have cleared down
space in the root and /usr partitions prior to upgrading as specified in
the installation notes. However each time I begin the installation it
fails due to lack of space in the root partition or so it claims!
I even went so far as to remove the vmunix file from the root but it still
wanted more space!
I have subsequently increased the root partition in the hope that when I
try next week there will be enough space!
Has anyone else had any such problems and how did you get around them -
other than doing a complete re-install of the operating system.
Thanks,
Angela
