Hello Managers,
My problem is that /etc/fstab file is corrupted (there are some garbage
characters) and there is somehow disk quota on user root.(Some other
people may have put the quota, probably a hacker)
Then I could bring the system to single user mode , try to remove quota
from root. Since this requires writing to disk, it says "disk quota
exceeded" and I was unable to remove quota. Then I decided to remove
userquota from fstab and reboot again.
Now the fstab file is corrupted and the system mounts root as
root_device (not root_domain) and read-only.
mount -u / produces memory fault message.
I can mount /usr file system as read-write manually but couldn't do the
same for root_domain.
In man page, it says when the fstab file is corrupted try
mount -u /dev/rzxx /
But this produces error message "Not enough space"
How can I remove quota from root in single user mode? (I cannot enter
multiuser mode) Our file system is, Advanced File System.
Any help will be greatly appreciated..
