file encryption w/o C-2

Hi,
  I am wondering if anyone can recommend an encryption program or process
 for clear text files. It would be run on DU 4.0b on an Alpha 4100. I
 need to be able to encrypt and decrypt based on a selected key that I
 designate. Any known web sites for security would be useful as well.
