No resolution to this problem. I simply went back to the HP-LaserJet4.
Someone did recommend magic-filter for linux.....
--------------------
We have a LPDaemon (Omni-tools) setup on a win95 machine called from
DU4.0B. The printcap looks like this:
hplaser|hplaser printer:\
:lf=/usr/adm/lpd-errs:\
:lp=:\
:if=/usr/lbin/hplaserpsof:\
:of=/usr/lbin/hplaserpsof:\
:mx#0:\
:rm=keitan:\
:rp=xlp:\
:sd=/usr/spool/hplaser:
The problem is I just changed the printer (xlp on win95 machine keitan)
from a HPLASERJET 4 to a HPLASERJET 6. I changed which printer the daemon
is printing too. Everything prints just fine, except now each printjob
prints out an extra page or sometimes two. Not sure how to correct this
problem, I thought maybe I needed a different output filter, but I
couldn't find one. Any ideas?
