slooooow login after nissetup

Hello,

I just installed nis using nissetup as a masterserver - there isn't any
slave or client yet. All seems okay so far - unfortunately the login at
this machine is very slow - means the login "hang" for ~1 min and than I
gor the login. If I stop nis - the login is working fine. I thought that
the /etc/passwd would be interpreted first -
because I haven't build any NIS users ("+") yet. What I'm doing wrong
and how do I update my maps at DUX? Simply a "make all" or "make passwd"
... at the /var/yp/ ? If so there is wrong something other because it
seems to hang there too.

Btw. I already read the NFS/NIS book from O'Reilly - but there is a
little bit other handling (enhancment) at DUX using the prebuild
scripts. nis_intro and some other man pages didn't helped too much ...
is there
any other description using NIS under DUX?

Btw. I also (have to) plan/include so HP-UX workstations later -
anything I should consider?

best regards Dirk
