Failover of DNS in cluster

Hi,

I wonder if I can make use of cluster's feature for DNS lookup. What I have
in mind is that I just need to put a single nameserver IP (instead of no.
of entries) in client's /etc/resolv.conf. This IP is either the service
IP or the alias IP of a member (of course, members are set up as nameserver
and the alias IP will be failover-ed to another member if the DNS
server is down). What this will benefit is that clients don't need to wait
for the lookup if the first nameserver in client's /etc/resolv.conf is
down as in ordinary setup.

I tried this setup but client didn't response to "ping" or "nslookup".
Any idea or alternative or is it feasible?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Raymond
