I know this should be a trivial problem, but I am stumped.
Ive added a new box running 4.0c. We have three 2100's running 4.0b.
The exports file on the three servers have an entry in the following form:
/someshareddirectory -access=client1:client2:client3
1. The new system is in the -access list for all three servers, however when I
try to mount these filesystems on the client, I get a permission denied error, e.g:
Can't access /home/fs/opscm: Permission denied
2. I am able to mount directories from all three servers if the 'exports' entry for that
filesystem does not have a -access entry
3. After some experimentation we were able to able to mount directories on two of the
three servers. It appears that stopping and restarting the /sbin/init.d/nfsmounts on the
system that still does not work fixed the other two systems.
All systems are in the NIS hosts database. The client is reachable from all three servers
(via telnet, etc.)
Thanks.
