I have attatched a terminal and flipped the S3 switch on the
back of the system. It works, but the boot sequence and firmware test
both complain that there is no keyboard and then CDE tries to start and
things hang. The keyboard attatched to the terminal DOES work until the
initial sequence hangs (because of the CDE startup). I think this is
because I still have the graphics card in the system. Is this correct?
Does the firmware (7.0) decide that since a graphics card is in the
system that it will want to also see a keyboard and mouse, regardless
of the setting of S3? Am I going to be forced to take the card out? I
don't think I have had this problem before, but I am not sure that I
have hooked a terminal up to a system that had a graphics card in it
before. I don't want to take the graphics card out to avoid
losing/damaging it. Am I missing something?
