Thanks to everyone who replied so quickly, I even had someone call me about
2 minutes after the post ... thanks again.
The problem was associated with the RAM. We took out each bank of RAM and
reseatted it. Once we did this the machine booted without a problem. We
will be monitoring this very closely to see if that 'actually' was the
problem.
