We purchased 2 PC164/LX Alphas with a Digital Unix 4.0 license to
Lodgepole Technology of Redmond, WA. To date we've only been able to
install Linux and NT on them, because they sent DU V4.0C, which doesn't
boot and cannot be installed on the boxes. And they apparently still claim
it should work...
The proposed solution is to get Digital Unix V4.0D because it supports
said board, and previous versions do not. Although 4.0B may install, it
does not support IDE options, and does not officially support the board.
Also the purchased license covers any 4.0x release.
Btw, tech support from lodgepole hasn't answered my last message from
wednsday (which included Dr. Blinn's message).
