[Q] Mail from cgi-bin process

Hi DU Admins

This is not really a Digital Unix question but relates
to our Apache web server.

One of our users has a registration form on his web page
and has a C program in cgi-bin to process the form. This
works fine.

He now wants the cgi-bin process to mail him every time
there's a new registration. This is proving difficult.

Is there some way for a cgi-bin process to send mail?
All the ideas I've come up with seem too complicated.
I'm hoping there's a simpler way of doing it.

Thanks
Ian
