Hello Managers -
I would like to Thank Olle Eriksson, Clark Merrill, Miguel Fliguer
and Kurt Carlson for the fast responses to my post(at the bottom).
The general consensus was :
"It means that you have some correctable memory errors. They are harmless
unless you get a lot of them"
As long as the ECC is correcting the errors everything will work fine.
Miguel and Kurt suggested using DIA to obtain more information. We have
DIA installed, but it does not work due to possibly a missing file - but
that may be another question on down the line.
Kurt also provided more information regarding scripts he uses to obtain
daily records of machine activity. He also mentioned the problem may
be solved by reseating the memory simms.
Since sys-admin is an extension of my real job, I will look into the
problem in greater detail as time permits. My main concern has been
answered in that the errors are not too bad unless a lot of them start
occurring frequently.
Thanks again to all who responded.
Sincerely,
Ron Bowman
