How to determine if a parameter is set in running system

In our upgrade to Oracle 7.3.4, the doc. tells you to add:

dlm:
dlm_disable_grptx = 0

to /etc/sysconfigtab and reboot.

Now that I've done that, how do I tell that this parameter is indeed set?
(also, anyone know what grptx is?)
