Digital UNIX managers,
I am in process of writing a script that will perform a backup os
Oracle filesystems on a Digital UNIX 4100 5/400 2GB Memory, 2 CPUs,
Version 4.0D, SWXCR, Raid 1, Raid 0+1, JBODS, Oracle 8.0.3.0...
Scripts will do as follows:
1) Shutdown (Oracle) listeners
2) Shutdown Oracle instances
3) Clone 5 filesets
4) Mount the clones
5) Startup instances/listners (Oracle)
6) Backup all the clones
7) umount and rmfset the clone
I saw bunch of good and useful articles in the archives, but I am
still gathering information and before starting the actual scripting
and putting state-of-the-art procedure in place, I would like to know
if it is as cool as it sounds, any experiences good/bad, examples, all
that would reduce some strreeessss.
Thanks,
Ronny Eliahu
