Like I expected I received tons of replies in a short amount of time.
Thanks!

Turns out that there are several ways to do this:

1) cd /sys/conf ; doconfig -c GENERIC

2) copy the genvmunix file from the OS distribution CD.

3) copy the genvmunix file from another machine.

I'm going to go with option 1 first. If that has problems then I
will try 2.

Thanks again!

ORIGINAL POST:

This should a quick one. I have a DU4.0b machine which for some reason or
another doesn't have the generic kernel anywhere on it. Is there an
easy way to rebuild it?
