Dear All,
I am using TLZ07 Tape drive on DEC Alpha 2000 running Digital UNIX
(OSF/1) v3.2 I have got a problem when trying to restore a file system
from a backup tape. I backed up the file system with dump command. I
have got the reading error while restoring which it came from media error
on the tape.
Please give me some advices about :
1. How to verify the backup image of dump after backing up to
guarantee
the completeness of backup.
2. How to test /detect the media error on the tape.
