At UC Berkeley, we are considering addding IMAP as a service on the
UCLink email servers. We have 40,000 user accounts and have been using
POP for a few years, but not IMAP. To find out more information about
IMAP, we are conducting a survey of what services other major email
systems (> 8,000 accounts) provide. The survey is on the Web at
http://www-uclink/imap/survey.html. It will take only a few minutes
to fill out.

If you do not know the information, please forward this request to someone
who does. If you are responsible for the service at your site, don't
worry if you don't know all the answers. Best estimates are ok.

The survey includes a box indicating whether or not you are willing to
have your responses made public. If you check yes, the responses will
be automatically posted to the Web, including a disclaimer that this is
an informal survey. We think that posting is important as a number of
people seem to be independently trying to get this information, and it
would be beneficial if it was collected and published in one place.

Thank you.
