NIS with enhanced security/base mix?

I've posted something similar before, but with little help... maybe if you
can't help, you can at least tell me if you're running any mix like this!?

Problem:
Can you run NIS with a mix of enhanced security machines and some running
base security? And is it possible to incorporate a couple linux machines
to use the NIS maps when running enhanced security?

I set up NIS running Dec Unix 4.0B and enhanced security on the NIS
master, although clients right now are all currently running base
security. Can I get it to work this way, or must all of them
run enhanced?

I'm having a problem figuring out how to get the prpasswd to be created
and pushed with the rest of the maps. I've got a master & client setup,
yp commands work, etc etc... but cannot log into the client since it only
currently looks at the passwd table (without any encrypted passwd)

I'd appreciate any help... I've been under the gun to get this
implemented.

Thanks!
Dan
