Hi all,
we need to sample current load (or average per (small) given
amount of time (~1sec)) at our servers (with multiple CPU) running Digital
Unix 4.0B.
Unfortunately, we are unable to find any reasonable system call to allow
us such sampling (load averages are not solution for us because of fixed
av. time).
One possibility seems to be table() call with TBL_RUNQ index.
Unfortunately we are unable to interpret returned values from this call in
relationship with load averages :-(
Any explanation of described sys. call or any further suggestions how to
reasonable sample current CPU load could be _REALLY_ useful for us!
