Hi --

One of our Digital Unix boxes (an AlphaServer 4100 5/400) has taken to
printing an ominous console warning just before the usual boot
sequence:

Warning: /etc/sysconfigtab size exceeds 32767 bytes.
All attribute defaults not picked up.

Indeed, /etc/sysconfigtab is 44215 bytes. (On other DU systems we have,
it seems to be slightly over 30000 bytes.)

However, there seem to be no obvious ill effects. The system
boots and runs fine.

I love it when ignoring an error message seems to work out, but I'd
appreciate any sage advice on whether there are better solutions.
