Tracing system calls

All:

I'm CTFM (checking the ....... manual) as I write this, but
I don't see how to trace system calls. (ptrace is not what I'm
looking for).

In Ultrix, there was some mechanism for tracing system calls.
It would write the call along with the parameters to stderr.
Any ideas how I'd do this on DU? (Can't check my Ultrix machine
because it's currently down).
