AlphaStation 200 firmware

I recently purchased an AlphaStation 200 4/166. Now I am trying to install
Windows NT on it - this is where the fun starts. :-)

Apparently this unit has the SRM firmware installed. I need the ARC
firmware installed.

I went to digital.com and downloaded ARC firmware version 4.56. I
formatted a blank floppy, copied the files over to it, then tried to boot
the Alpha off it it. Nothing.

When the machine boots the following appears on the screen:
eb.....ea.e9.e8.e7.e6.e5
v6.1-2, built on (date)
>>>

I then tried a "boot dva0" to get the unit to boot from floppy...all I get
is a
"block 0 of dva0.0.0.1 is not a vaid boot block
bootstrap failure"

What am I doing wrong? All I want is to install NT on here and use it as a
workstation.

Thanks in advance,

Rick Miale
