Many people suggested alpha-trace, available freely from a
number of locations. I got one from
ftp://ftp.iastate.edu/pub/unix/osf1/trace/alpha-trace-1.33.tar.Z
Brian asked the same question earlier. (I did search the
archives, honest!) Here's his detailed summary:
>

> SVEDEV410 installed Development Tools Package (System V Environment)

Kevin said truss is the SYS V thing to do the same thing. You can either
pay for the SYS V DU stuff, or get free strace from
ftp://ftp.mindspring.com/users/ahobson/strace-3.1.0.1-du.tgz
Tom said he uses the audit subsystem to trace syscalls.
