Hi,
I followed the steps described in the System Accounting chapter
regard the setup accounting (D.U.3.2C). I put the next lines in the
/usr/spool/cron/crontabs/adm file:
45 13 * * 1-6 /usr/sbin/acct/runacct > /usr/adm/acct/nite/fd2log&
5 * * * * /usr/sbin/acct/ckpacct&
45 13 1 * * /usr/sbin/acct/monacct&
45 13 * * * /usr/sbin/ac -p /var/adm/acct/nite/timelog&
45 13 * * * /usr/bin/last >> /usr3/lastall
I wrote the last line because the wtmp file is removed every day and I do
not know where can I find the logins for the previous days in the from
that last command displays them.
In the cron.allow I have just root and adm groups.
I looked in the /var/adm/acct/nite/statefile and it contains the COMMPLETE
word. Also there is no lock file and the active file look like this:

(EOF):
The lastdate file contain the date of the present day for example 0508.
The big problem for me is that I think that none of the lines in the adm
file described above are not executed because the fd2log, timelog and
lastall files have 0 bytes. Another problems is when I change the time in
the adm file form 6.30am to 13.45pm, the wtmp file is removed(runacct) at
6.30am.
Why?
Please tell me where I wrong or what I do not understand (I am new to
system administration).
