First of all, thanks to the people who gave time for responding so quickly.
Most of responses said " do sh dev at the >>> prompt " or " boot dka400 ".
Don't work, has said in the first mail. It seems to be a firmware problem,
as Dec guy pointed out. The additional board (PMAZC-AA) should be upgraded
to version 2.2, and actually is in 2.1. The problem is that I have to boot
on the firmware CD to update :( (or use the network solution with tftp).
Steffi Laurentius ("GSNA99::LAURENTIUS_S"_at_denet.abb.de) seems to had the
same problem and pointed out the need of firmware update. Here's his mail :

We had the problem, that we were unable to boot any system disk on the
second PMAZC. We solved the problem by loading the newest firmware into the
controller (Firmware CD 5.0, [turbochannel]tc_v2_2.exe). And it turned out
that 2.2 was the first software version to support a boot from the 2nd
PMAZC. Perhaps that helps you, too.

Objet: Booting from CD

Hi gurus...
I'm trying to update the firmware and update to dunix 4.0b a 3000/600 box
with Dunix 3.2G. The problem is that the cdrom device is on the second scsi
bus (with a PMAZC option card) . So the command to boot is (from the
installation guide of DU 4.0):
boot " 1/dka400 "
because the cdrom device is on the slot 1, device number 4 (verified with
the command " t tc1 cnfg " at the >>>prompt)
All that I get is an error message that I can't read but looks like "
access violation " followed by a dump on the console. I've tried several
cdroms (firmware releases 3.4,3.7,3.8,5.0 ; Operating system volume 1), and
got always the same behaviour...So...What's wrong ? ?
?
