printing being interrupted

Dear Managers,

I hate one printer which acts as a local and as a remote printer. The
problem is that print jobs are often interrupted by other print jobs. Am
I correct in thinking that if a job is printing then the lock file
should prevent other jobs from printing. If not would someone please
enlighten me.
