Hallo folks,
original question:
after encapsualating the root disk tried to mirror it with "volrootmir
-a tz14", but i only get the following error message:
ERROR: disk rz0 is an RZ28 type device while
disk rz14 is an RZ1 type device.
Both disks must be of the same type.
solution:
the volrootmir script checks the type of disks to mirror by issuing the
"file" command. It then expects the same output for both devices. So one
issue would be to edit the /usr/sbin/volrootmir script. See lines 527
and 528, which are "responsible" for possible error messages!
But this is untested from our side and could lead to a system, which is
perhaps not supported by "digital".
So we would use an old rz28!!!!
