Hi managers,
I'd like to configure ADVFS on a 3000 box (allways the same !) with DU
4.0B. I thought all was correctly installed, but when I want to create a
new domain with mkfdmn, I get the following message :
# mkfdmn /dev/rz17c ora_dmn
mkfdmn: domain init error E_ADVFS_NOT_INSTALLED (-1108)
mkfdmn: can't create new domain 'ora_dmn'
Man advfs_err says :
(-1108)
E_ADVFS_NOT_INSTALLED
The file system (advfs) is not installed or it is installed but the
new
kernel (vmunix) is not currently running; in the latter case, you
need
to reboot the system to complete the advfs installation.
......What I did this morning, with a doconfig (without args) before to be
sure of the selection of ADVFS and LSM...
Here's what gives setld -i for ADVFS and LSM subsets :
# setld -i | grep ADVFS
OSFADVFS410 installed POLYCTR advfs (System Administration)
OSFADVFSBIN410 installed POLYCTR advfs Kernel Modules (Kernel Build
Environment)
OSFADVFSBINOBJECT410 installed POLYCTR advfs Kernel Objects (Kernel
Software Development)
# setld -i | grep LSM
OSFLSMBASE410 installed Logical Storage Manager (System
Administration)
OSFLSMBIN410 installed Logical Storage Manager Kernel
Modules(Kernel Build Environment)
OSFLSMBINCOM410 installed Logical Storage Manager Kernel Header and
Common Files(Kernel Build Environment)
OSFLSMBINOBJECT410 installed Logical Storage Manager Kernel
Objects(Kernel Software Development)
OSFLSMX11410 installed Logical Storage Manager GUI (System
Administration)
#
Note : LSM is not registred (no PAK) on this box...Is it necessary to run
AdvFS ? ?
What's wrong or missing ? ? ?
I'll summarize...TIA
Regards,
JD
