hi there,

I have added a second NIC interface in 2 alpha machines and
I am running tcpd on both to wrap the daemons. I have set the routes and
I can ping each machines. I have used 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2
as the IP address and have corresponding entries in hosts file on both
machines. Also in hosts.allow I have set permission for ftpd client to
access the systems. Now when I go from machine A to B via ftp,
I get message

421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection
on machines A.

On machine B the syslog shows:

Jun 10 18:46:45 machineB ftpd[15939]: warning: can't verify hostname: gethostbyname(machineA) failed
Jun 10 18:46:45 machineB ftpd[15939]: refused connect from 192.168.1.2

What else do I need to do to make this happen. Am I missing something...

Thanks for the help.

Rakesh

PS: I have changed the actual machine names with machine A and B.
