installing a new external SCSI harddisk

hello,

I am very new and inexperience in installing a harddisk. Since one of my
harddisk is crashed and I have to replace it and this would be my very
first time to do so.

I will be installing a 2GB SCSI external harddisk with 2 partition on a
OSF v3.2 DEC 3000.

What would be the procedures in installing an external SCSI harddisk? If
possible maybe a step by step procedure could be show.
