Hi,
I was trying to make a backup of 4GB filesystem on a 4mm DAT (TLZ06)
drive in an Alpha 3000 , but it gives me an message telling me that
I'm going to need 6 4mm tapes for just 4GB!. I'm using the params
showed in the man page for dump on OSF:
___________________________________________________
Tape Device Density Size Size
(bpi) (feet) (1024-byte blocks)
___________________________________________________
TLZ06 61000 2640 1887436
/usr/sbin/ufsdump 0sduf 2640 61000 bainne:/dev/nrmt0h /home
I guess I need another params to take more advantage of the tape
(I'm using a DDS 120M tape),does anyone knows how to get the
maximun benefit for this tape?
thanks in advance
-carlos
